When you travel, whether for business or a vacation, it does not take much to overspend and blow your travel budget. For people on a tight budget, the result can be going into serious debt. Paying too much for a hotel is one way to blow your travel budget. However, the good news is there are many ways to save money on hotels.

Referrals: Ask your friends, coworkers, neighbors, and family if they know of any good hotels at reasonable rates. If they have travelled to your planned travel destination, they may be able to provide you with some information about quality hotels at inexpensive rates in the area.

Book In Advance: You can get great deals on hotels if you book well in advance of the date of departure. If you book more than 14 days in advance, you will likely get a discount on your hotel rates. Make sure you check the fine print to see if there is a ‘no-cancellation’ clause.

Discount Travel Websites: Check out online discount travel sites for listings of hotel deals in the location where you will be traveling. You will find some great deals on hotels and you will even find last minute hotel deals which will save you a lot of money. You just need to be ready to travel on short notice. You can also sign up for the travel discount site’s email travel alert program so that you will be able to get new listings of hotel deals as well as seat sales such as an air canada seat sale.

Vacation Bundle: You can save money when you buy a vacation package. This is a vacation that is bundled, meaning such services as flight, hotels, and car rentals are bundled together into one price. You can save hundreds of dollars. You can find great deals on vacation packages when you shop on the website of a discount travel retailer. You will even find last minute vacation package deals.

Deals and Coupons: Do an online search for coupons for your vacation destination to find coupons and seals on hotels and vacation packages. You may also find special offers in the destination’s travel guide. These guides usually include coupons or online promotional codes for hotels/motels, attractions, and restaurants. You can also find coupons at airports, Visitor centers bus or train stations, tourist attractions, and rental car companies. As well, a lot of hotels, particularly hotel chains, have rewards programs. You can accrue points by booking hotel rooms or shopping with a hotel’s partner companies. Once you accumulate enough points, you can earn a free hotel stay.

When searching for a cheap hotel, be flexible about when and where you travel to save money on your hotel. Do your research to learn about hotel rates, amenities, special discounts and promotions, and the location. As well, plan your trip during the tourist off-season and during the weekdays as you can save between 15% – 40% off your rate. By doing so, it will help you stay within your travel budget. It may seem like a time consuming task doing research to find hotels with the best rates, but it is well worth it because you can save a lot of money.

How To Weight Train During Pregnancy

Submitted by: Bryan Goodger

Nowadays, doctors and health experts advise women to stay active for their, within certain limits, during pregnancy. Doing so can help improve the health of your baby as well as helping you stay as fit as possible. Staying active during pregnancy can make it easier to return to your normal weight after the birth of your baby. You gain even more benefits if you include weight training in your prenatal exercise program. Here are some tips to help you safely weight train during pregnancy.

One thing many women suffer from is postpartum depression and it has been proven that exercise is effective at treating it as well as preventing it to a certain extent, being able to at least reduce the severity of this issue. In other words, if you work out while you’re pregnant, there’s less of a chance you’ll be depressed later on. The exact reason for this isn’t known, but scientists and researchers are finding more and more evidence that exercise has a beneficial effect on brain chemistry. You should also consider the fact that you will feel a lot better physically and emotionally if you exercise regularly during your pregnancy because you will find it much easier to regain your pre-pregnancy body after you give birth.

Exercising during pregnancy is very beneficial but you will need to avoid certain movements and positions. You should avoid doing exercises that require you to bend from the hips and lifting weights over your head. So, if you’re lifting weights you wouldn’t want to do an overhead press while pregnant. Exercises that target the abdominal region should also be avoided. Exercises where you’re lying flat on your stomach or back are also good ones to avoid. Many exercises that can be done while standing or sitting are safe to do during pregnancy, although it may sound like you can’t do anything.

It would be irresponsible of you not to be careful and take some precautions, no matter how good weight training is for you when you are pregnant. Essentially, you want to use lighter weights and stay away from the heavier dumbbells. Of course, “heavy” is a subjective term that depends on how strong you are and for how long you have been weight training. The rule of thumb is to use lighter weights but do more repetitions. This will allow you to exercise all of your muscle groups while avoiding any strain. You need to remember that the goal of weight training during your pregnancy is to stay fit and not to become stronger.

Exercising while you are pregnant offers a wide range of benefits and, unless you suffer from a medical condition preventing you, you really need to consider incorporating a suitable exercise program. It will not only make you feel better and reduce your stress levels, but it has benefits for your baby as well. Body sculpting and weight training also help tone down back pain, joint problems and help keep your muscles working properly. The benefits we’ve covered are a few of the reasons doctors now regularly advise their pregnant patients to engage in some form of exercises.

Tips For Finding Good Seafood Florida Keys Fl

The Florida Keys are one of the most popular vacation spots in the United States. With a year around temperate climate and a tropical setting, they offer everything you could ever ask for in a Caribbean beach vacation, without the obligation of having a passport. With its setting 90 miles south of the mainland Florida coast, it’s set in a perfect location for having great seafood. Thus, without eating at one of its many seafood restaurants, you can’t have the full Florida Keys experience. Let’s look at a few things you can do to ensure that you find good seafood Florida Keys, FL.

A good place to start while looking for seafood Florida Keys, FL is by asking friends and family members that have been to the Florida Keys before for recommendations. The people in your life that you can trust the most are likely to give you relevant information based on what they know about your personal tastes; doing this will allow you to compile a list of restaurants you’d feel you’d enjoy right off the bat.

A good place to go from there is online. You can go to each individual restaurant’s web site to read reviews and look at menus. Reviews will generally include information and feedback regarding not only the food of the restaurant, but also the service, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere. This will allow you to gain an overall expectation for the restaurants you eat at.

Another thing that you can do that can be very rewarding is to search for restaurants that may be a bit “off the beaten path”. As with any popular vacation destination, the Florida Keys boast many trendy eating spots. While these restaurants are certainly popular for a reason, the fact of the matter is that they can become very crowded. Finding one or two restaurants that are certainly very good, but are “diamonds in the rough” can be very worthwhile. You can get great food and service, without all the headaches that can be associated with very trendy spots.

While your overall impression of your vacation may not be made by the food that you eat, it can certainly play a role in your overall enjoyment of your trip. Coming up with a bit of a rough “game plan” can help you ensure that you have great experiences, and can help your Florida Keys vacation be one that provides you with memories that will last a lifetime.
